Sleep Apnea

What is Obstructive Sleep Apnea(OSA)?

Sleep Apnea results when there is a complete obstruction of the airway, resulting in airflow cessation (apnea) for at least 10 seconds. Because of this, our body oxygen decreases, and makes our heart work harder . It also disrupts our natural sleep cycle and results in poor sleep quality. In severe cases, a patient may experience up to 300 apnea episode per night. If left untreated, it may cause some severe health risks.
