ABOUT PREVENTATIVE DENTAL HYGIENE

Our aim is to work in partnership with you to achieve and maintain a healthy mouth that will contribute to your overall wellness and quality of life. We offer laser therapy to help treat and prevent Gum Disease which can negatively affect your general health. This treatment doesn’t require downtime or the use of medications.

During your hygiene visit, your hygienist will thoroughly clean all surfaces of your teeth, veneers, and crowns using an advanced ultrasonic water scaler. The ultrasonic scaler is a very comfortable and relaxing way for removing plaque, tartar and stains from above and below your gum line. The hygienist will carefully examine your head, neck, teeth and gums for any signs of decay, Periodontal (Gum) disease, and any other concerns.

FAQs

Why do I need to get my teeth cleaned often?

A professional “cleaning” removes harmful bacteria from below your gums which are not accessible with a toothbrush or floss. These germs have been scientifically shown to cause Periodontal (Gum) Disease and other diseases in the body if left unchecked.

How can I prevent gum or periodontal disease?

By coming in routinely for preventative hygiene treatments, working with us to identify Periodontal (Gum) Disease risk factors, and with regular oral home care you can help keep your teeth and gums healthy.
